Cross Country
Tiffin Cross Country revolves around the pillars of enthusiasm, enjoyment and achievement. With regular weekly training sessions for all years of the school, the cross-country team firmly believes we are only as strong as the last man in! We participate in races every Saturday (and Wednesday for Seniors) that allow runners to experience borough, county and national events. Many of our runners regularly achieve top positions in races whilst our relay teams are unbeaten in weekend fixtures. Races take us across South East England and we are fortunate to train and indeed host our home races at Richmond Park. With an emphasis on having a good time combined with excellent coaching, Tiffin Cross Country is the perfect opportunity for any aspiring athlete!

Report
We have had our best start this millennium. 26 athletes represented the school and 26 got round a great credit to you all. Winning a trophy and 6 medals in the process is a great start. O Garner started us off with a great individual third place. Analysis of the results proved A Demitrescu had the fastest debut for the school and my apologies for him not getting presented with a medal on the day. He will get one in assembly. He was closely followed by H Jarvis who looked like the fastest before we obtained the official results. He also gets a medal for a fast debut for the school. The inters section debutant was J Hewitt who had a promising first spin for the school and gained a medal in the process. J Tabbert and T Perara looked very rapid in U6 and year 8 all the above should obtain medals in assembly.
It was great to see us obtain a trophy on our first outing of the year despite some just having run for the first time in their new school. The grand prix scores are printed below and measure your performance against the fastest from the school in your section. You should not focus on the number itself you should focus on improvement in the next match. Fixtures and results are on the school web site also on the intranet under 90 club section. There may well be maps etc there as well.
